All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18  NIV

A few years ago the Lord gave me a picture of an elaborate domino design that filled an entire room. All the dominoes were lined up so that each would fall sequentially as soon as the first domino was tipped over.

Written on the dominoes were all the issues we, as Christians, have been praying for to establish righteousness and ignite revival in America. On the first domino was written “Native American”.

I believe healing the wounds inflicted against the Native American’s is THE critical issue for America at this hour, and that when this issue is addressed the other dominoes will fall into place rapidly – and we will begin to see many things we have been praying for come to pass.

John Dawson, in his book Healing America’s Wounds, stated, “Reconciliation with Native Americans is fundamental. There is a hindrance to God’s blessing on this nation as long as this wound remains unhealed. Without the embrace and blessing of the “host” people, Americans will fall short of apprehending both their identity and destiny.”

The unresolved pain of the wounds of many generations of injustices continues to cause major issues in the Native American Tribes today.

This is the critical generation for these ancient issues to be addressed and the wounds to be healed. If these issues are not addressed now, I believe that America will not continue to walk in the blessing that we have for the last 14 Generations.

We need to recognize that asking for forgiveness and working towards reconciliation is not to be a flippant undertaking. We’re dealing with the pain of generations. We are dealing with wounds that are not only many generations old, but also with wounds that have been recently inflicted. The pain is deep and the atrocities severe.

To truly ask for forgiveness you must understand the severity of the atrocities and understand the depth of the pain.

Reconciliation is our call from God. It is why Jesus came. To reconcile us to the Father. It is our job to reconcile one to another. To acknowledge our sins and ask for forgiveness.

Now is the time! This is the season.
