Well, it is the week of July 4th, officially mosquito season…<\/p>\n

My nephews wife wrote on her Facebook post this week, “In my garage for 5 minutes and 10 bites… 10 bites!!! That’s a bite every 30 seconds, geese.”<\/p>\n

Indeed!<\/p>\n

Mosquitos are not fun, and can be very dangerous as well. They carry many diseases, some of them fatal.<\/p>\n

SO, if the mosquitos seem to love to bite you – like they do me, and Jess – then try my new summer all natural mosquito repellant.<\/p>\n

A friend at church told me about Lavender Oil, and I had previously read about Coconut Oil, so I decided to combine them, and give it a try.<\/p>\n

Here is my recipe:<\/p>\n

Diane’s All natural mosquito repellant.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You will need:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Coconut Oil (I use LouAna brand from my grocery store or big box store)<\/p>\n

Lavender Essential oil (I got mine online last year, but most health food stores have it)<\/p>\n

Small glass or plastic container (I bought a plastic one at the dollar store. Be sure it is able to hold 1\/4 cup or more – or make a smaller amount)<\/p>\n

Mix ingredients together in a small container:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1\/4 cup Coconut Oil<\/p>\n

5 – 10\u00a0drops of Lavender Essential oil. (Depending on how strong you want it to be)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

That’s it! Easy as can be!<\/p>\n

Now, just rub the mixture on any exposed skin before you go outside.<\/p>\n

It is great for your skin and keeps the mosquitos away.\u00a0I have been using it this summer & it has worked great for me!<\/p>\n
