Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Thanks. Giving.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have been thinking a lot again these last few weeks about what Thanksgiving means, and was struck by the two words found in the one…\u00a0Thanks. Giving<\/strong><\/em>. I have been pondering thanks, (gratitude) and giving, and how they\u00a0impacts our lives.<\/p>\n

Thanks.<\/strong>\u00a0Without gratitude, our attitude becomes toxic – literally. I discuss how what we think has direct repercussions on our health in my book,\u00a0Master Your Mind<\/a>. We must stay thankful to stay healthy! I believe our attitude will affect how successful we are in all\u00a0areas of our lives. I want to be thankful\u00a0at all times.<\/p>\n

Giving.<\/strong>\u00a0I think there is a similar principle\u00a0for\u00a0our finances. Without giving, our finances become ‘all about us’… and that can be toxic to your finances! I believe we must give with a cheerful heart\u00a0for our finances\u00a0to stay healthy! I want to be generous at all times.<\/p>\n

Many years ago, I heard about\u00a0Robert Gilmore LeTourneau.\u00a0RG\u00a0LeTourneau\u00a0was a prolific inventor and held nearly 300 patents.\u00a0He was a very successful businessman, whose earthmoving equipment, and Engineering vehicles,\u00a0represented nearly 70 percent of the machines used during World War II. The University he founded,\u00a0LeTourneau University<\/a>, is still among the top of its kind, and “unapologetically Christian”.<\/p>\n

But what struck me about his story, was not how much money he made, but how much money he gave!\u00a0RG, during his day, was called “God’s Businessman”,\u00a0and\u00a0was known for his extravagant giving.\u00a0LeTourneau gave 90% of all he made,\u00a0and lived on 10%. He called it the “reverse tithe.\u201d<\/p>\n

I want to be like that!\u00a0I want to be able to give\u00a0the finances that I am blessed with to change the world!\u00a0There is great\u00a0power\u00a0in\u00a0giving. Try it! It can change your life!<\/p>\n

I am giving thanks\u00a0for many things this Thanksgiving… Here are my “Top 10 things I am thankful for”:<\/p>\n

1. God the three in one – the Father, the son Jesus & the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n

2. My family<\/p>\n

3. My friends!<\/p>\n

4. Promises of God, including eternal life in Heaven with Jesus.<\/p>\n

5. Belonging to God, and His family.<\/p>\n

6. God’s Protection from any enemy.<\/p>\n

7.\u00a0God’s Provision of ALL I need (Food, shelter, clothing…)\u00a0and God’s abundance, above and beyond…<\/p>\n

8. Having a purpose to live for, and a destiny to fulfill.<\/p>\n

9. My health & soundness of mind.<\/p>\n

10. My freedom.<\/p>\n

This week\u00a0I give thanks to God for all He has given me! And I want to give back.<\/p>\n
